KSTAR Extends Global Top 5 UPS Position, Climbs to Third in Backup UPS Segment
KSTAR continues to strengthen its standing in the global UPS market. According to Omdia's UPS Hardware Annual Tracker, KSTAR has secured a place among the world's top 5 UPS manufacturers, with a 4.5% global market share in 2025.
Beyond its overall ranking, KSTAR's momentum is even more pronounced in a specific product category: single-phase 0-1kVA UPS, commonly used for backup and entry-level power protection. In this segment, KSTAR now ranks third globally, with its market share climbing from 3.5% in 2018 to 10.5% in 2025 — nearly tripling in seven years and outpacing the segment's overall growth rate.
Over the same period, the segment’s long-standing leader saw its share narrow from 35.5% to 22.0%, while the second-ranked competitor grew more gradually to 13.0%. KSTAR’s faster growth curve has meaningfully closing the gap with the top two suppliers.
This dual position — a top 5 global UPS supplier overall, and a top 3 player in backup power UPS, reflects KSTAR's growing footprint across both mission-critical infrastructure and entry-level power protection, backed by its global manufacturing and delivery network spanning more than 180 countries.
