Considering the poor quality of the local power grid, limited project time, and the difficulty of on-site construction, the company choose to deploy Kstar IDB pre-assembled, pre-configured container data center solutions.
Results:
1. Off-site commissioning for time-saving
The IDB solution is a data center-in-a-box solution that integrates racks, power, cooling, security, and monitoring system in the container. It is prefabricated in the factory and can easily be transported, deployed at 5G edge sites, remote offices, and on customer premises, bringing computing services closer to the customer.
2. Containment systems for Cost & Energy-Saving
The data center solution adopts hot/cold aisle containment architecture and efficient cooling systems to improve cooling efficiency.
3. Lithium-Ion battery solution to reduce downtime
Considering the availability of electricity in Nigeria has worsened over the years, the solutions will be powered by DC-power-supply-based lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries feature long cycle life, small in size, and perform well at high temperatures. Working with DC power supply, they can reduce downtime and achieve energy-saving.
