Shenzhen KSTAR Science&Technology has completed a 100MW PV project with China National Nuclear Corporation for more than 4 months at the poverty county Ningxia,China, which started power generation since Dec 2019.The project aims to poverty alleviation and boosts the local economy development at Tongxin County, China.
The project is expected to have a 25-year average annual on-grid electricity generation of 143.47 million Kwh. Moreover, the building of solar power plant enables people to find jobs at their hometown.
Tongxin county, located in the adjacent between the Ordos and the north of the Loess Plateau, is in the center of the Ningxia arid zone. The terrain is high in the south and low in the north, with an altitude of 1240-2625 meters. There is large temperature difference between day and night. But sunshine is sufficient. The gullies of county territory are horizontal and vertical.The survival condition is hard, and the development of the place is so weak. Another label for tongxin county is the state-level key poverty alleviation county, with 13.1 percent of its agricultural population living in poverty.
Although the environment of Tongxin county is tough, the local government is still devoted to economic development,attracting business and investment,strengthening infrastructure construction and optimizing the investment development environment. In Tongxin County, the weather is drought and little rainfall. Once the 100MW PV project of power generation is completed, it will provide more than 100 jobs for the local villagers.
To support the growth of Tongxin economy and bring warmth to those households, KSTAR provides 32 units of ITS（integrated transformer solution）GSM3125C-MV to the 100MW PV project ,where the area occupies about 300 hectares of grassland and bare land.
