Data Centers — The Digital Heart of Modern Healthcare
At a crucial stage of China's Healthy China 2030 initiative, the healthcare industry is entering a new era of data-driven diagnosis and treatment. In leading hospitals, annual imaging data now exceeds petabyte levels. With remote consultation, AI-assisted diagnosis, and emergency command becoming standard, data continuity and treatment safety are now inseparable. The hospital data center has evolved from a simple server room into the digital heart powering modern medical services.
As the only Class-A tertiary hospital in eastern Sichuan integrating medical care, teaching, research, and emergency services, Dazhou First People's Hospital serves as the core medical hub for Dazhou and five nearby cities. Its new campus at the foot of Mount Phoenix faced an urgent need for a cost-efficient, rapidly deployed, and highly reliable data center capable of 24/7 operation in a remote area.
To meet these challenges—balancing strict medical standards with complex infrastructure needs—KSTAR delivered a fully integrated solution addressing three key pain points:
1. Fast delivery for remote hospital campuses
2. Sustainable balance between quality and efficiency
3. Medical-grade reliability for critical operations
With “integration” as the core concept, KSTAR's end-to-end solution ensures speed, stability, and sustainability—empowering hospitals to achieve intelligent and resilient digital upgrades.
Prefabricated Micro Modules — Fast Deployment in Remote Areas
The hospital's IT facilities include four IDM micro data center modules and two IDM aggregation modules. Each module—complete with UPS, power cabinets, precision air conditioners, enclosed cold aisles, and racks—was factory-prefabricated for plug-and-play installation. This approach reduced the on-site schedule from three months to just 45 days, perfectly fitting mountain logistics and urgent timelines. Each module operates independently, ensuring uninterrupted hospital service even during maintenance.
Triple Power Protection — Ensuring Zero Downtime
Six YDC3300 high-frequency tower UPS units and 960 6-FM-100 batteries form a three-tier power system (utility + UPS + battery). The design achieves millisecond-level seamless switching, guaranteeing stable power for EMR, imaging, and ICU systems—eliminating the risk of treatment interruption during outages.
Smart Environmental Control — Reliable Cooling for Critical Equipment
5pcs of Kstar StationAir precision AC and an AI-based monitoring system maintain ±0.5 °C temperature accuracy and issue real-time alerts. Remote monitoring detects filter blockages and battery degradation early, shifting maintenance from reactive to proactive—reducing costs and extending equipment life.
KSTAR is not only a data center solution provider but also a co-creator of intelligent healthcare infrastructure, building digital foundations that safeguard public health and advance medical innovation.
